FOREWORD

This booklet was prepared to commemorate the first edition of the “Rule of Law”
FORUM in the Middle East, organized by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Rule of

Law Programme Middle East and North Africa in partnership with Youssef SADER

Foundation, in Beirut – Lebanon on the 9th & 10th December, 2022.

The Forum brings together numerous international, regional and local experts to

tackle key subjects related to the Rule of Law in the region. These panelists will form

part of five podium discussions with a moderator, as detailed in the program herein.

Each year, current rule of law topics will be addressed, offering an opportunity for all

attendees and panelists alike to discuss and further the understanding of the law in

the region.
